The Elgin Robin was made from 1936-38 and sold through Sears, Roebuck & Co. Sears did not make its own bicycles and the Robin was made by Westfield Manufacturing of Westfield Mass. who’s in house brand was Columbia. The first two years featured a frame with a lower top bar which created a longer seat tube that was prone to breaking so the ’38 is a one year only frame. The Robin is very popular among collectors due to its unique Zeppelin style tank. The horn is located in the headlight housing which is why it’s ‘vented’. Owner: Shawn Sweeney
