Firestone never built any bicycles but did contract with bicycle manufacturers to produce bicycles with their badge for sale in Firestone stores. Among these manufacturers were Huffman, Colson, and Monark. This model was built by Huffman, which later became Huffy, and features a full suspension with both springs at the front and rear of the bicycle.
This particular bicycle is unusual in that it has the upper level Huffman trim with a Firestone badge. Generally the Firestone bicycles were budget models with plainer paint schemes and a painted tank. This particular bike was special ordered by a Firestone dealer to be his Christmas display bike for 1938 and he specified the Huffman level trim which included a fancier paint scheme and chrome tank. This bike is thought to be unique and, except for the later Firestone tires, is original. Owner: Shawn Sweeney
